Puten Kotelette With Mushroom

Kotelette is more or less a pork chop in Germany. Here my recipe is with puten or turkey in English.

Kartoffelsalat is potato salad. Depends on where in Germany as to what the ingredients are.

So these are all roughly the same:

Schnitzel(German) (pork, pounded thin and breaded, then fried)

Chicken-fried steak (southern US) — beef, pounded thin and breaded, then fried

Chicken or veal piccata — chicken or veal, pounded thin and breaded, then fried (with sauce added)

Same basic idea, just different names and slightly different nuances.
