Tempe – The nutritious vegetarian food

Tempeh is a food rich in protein native of Indonesia made from fermented soybeans, high in protein and high in nutrients, suitable for vegetarians. Can be cooked as a burgers patty, deep fried or sauteed with vegetables. I love this food so much!

These one of my favorite recipes to make Tempe Mendoan:(deep fried tempe mendoan)

INGREDIENT:
500 gr of tempeh, sliced thinly wide
250 gr of plain flour
300 till 400 ml of cold water
2 stalk spring onion, finely sliced
2 stalk of celery. sliced
oil for frying

seasoning:
3 cloves of garlic
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon tummeric powder

Ingredients Sambal sauce; mix together:
5 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
4 pieces of red chili, crushed
salt

Method:
1. Mixed together flour, water, and spices. Add spring onion and celery. Stir well.
2. Slice Tempeh dip into the flour mixture. Fry until golden brown in diep frying method.
3. Serve with Sambal sauce.
