DAILY LIFE…Sometimes bad,sometimes good

The Reichstag was the large domed building in Berlin that was the home of the German Parliament.

Infamously gutted by fire on 17 February 1933 – an event the Nazis used as an excuse to suspend basic freedoms -1933 and later Marinus van der Lubbe, a Communist from Holland was executed for the crime.

The Reichstag is today home to the Bundestag, the Federal German Parliament.

After the Reichstag Fire the German Parliament was held in the Kroll Opera House in Berlin.

A trip to the top is a must, but expect airport-style security and long queues, better still find out the information before.  When i was there its closed for public so make sure when you visit Reichstag find the information first on closing and opening time.
